I'm a former art director at an ad agency and decided to take a break to travel the country to meet different people and see different things than just a computer screen.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing-host was also my best. She took me to her art studio which was her work which happened to be at the local theater where a Johnny Cash musical was showing.

The next day, she drove me around the city in her classic VW van and gave me a better tour than the local tour bus would have given.
