About Me

Hello! I left my job as a project manager in December 2020 and I went on a roadtrip across the U.S. making my way from coast to coast and then back to the Midwest. Throughout the trip I loved meeting CSers in the states. Now I am preparing to head across the pond to Europe and am excited to make new friends while exploring there for the first time.

While traveling I like to read, journal, listen to albums and podcasts, hike, practice photography, visit museums, try local brews, and meet new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet other people who are traveling and who can help me experience the places I am visiting. I am also looking for hosts that I can eat and explore with

Music, Movies, and Books

I used to work for a college radio station and have been a big fan of listening to albums ever since. Specifically I love indie, alt rock, singer-songwriter, folk rock, hip-hop, rap, etc. Some of my favorite artists are: Father John Misty, Kendrick Lamar, Big Thief, Tyler, The Creator, Whitney, Kanye, Mount Eerie, Bon Iver, blink-182

I am also an on-again, off-again reader of mostly classic science fiction novels. I love Phillip K. Dick and Kurt Vonnegut. I like reading books that other people consider their favorite books or books that had a significant effect on them. Those books are always interesting because you get to know more about the person who recommended it as well as the book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I turned my station wagon into a camper that I could store all of my things in, cook out the back of, and sleep in. I lived out of it for about 6 months while on a 15,000 mile roundtrip around the U.S. I also finished seeing all of the lower 48 states on that trip!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm can cook, teach English, give managerial consulting advice, and help prepare for interviews. I am also pretty good with cars and given the right tools can do repairs or give automotive advice.

I'm a good listener, but will also bring random topics to a conversation if I think it will be interesting to hear what other people think.
