One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being a magician, I suppose I've done quite a lot of amazing things... More seriously, I think that the experience of travelling and speaking (or even trying to speak) the local language is wonderful. I've lived some of these magic moments when you see how a language can change the way people behave with you. As Nelson Mandela put it, "if you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart".
