About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"Reaching out to embrace the random, reaching out to embrace whatever may come!"

ABOUT ME

Hmmm, I'm a pretty cool person :P~ I'm pretty "unordinary" also (in many areans). I'm intellient, compassionate, confident, energetic, employed, and unique. I'm also rather organized and talented when it comes to planning things, but I can also go with the flow and let someone else "drive." I strive to be a positive contribution to the life of anyone with whom I interact.

I'm currently an English teacher, and then possibly teaching English abroad one day! :D I also have a penchant for writing (as well as communication in general) and hope that part of my life expands in some way later as well. Curiously, I also have an inclination towards the field of death/dying, and I also see myself working well as a pastoral counselor, bereavement guide, or "midwife of death." It's a side of myself that's slowly peeling open as a possibility...

I tend to be a very broad, open-minded thinker, but I keep my footing practically grounded. I've been positioned in life so that I enjoy excavating through the darkness of great depths, as well as elevating all that's light to great heights.

I don't believe in accidents either; such situations to me are merely smaller pieces of a bigger picture which I can't possibly grasp from a limited, localized perspective--"fly a little higher, see a little more."

PHILOSOPHY

"Follow the day and reach for the sun!"

"Don't fret--You can't say the wrong thing to the right person, and you can't say the right thing to the wrong one."

"Swing on the spiral of [y]our divinity and still be a human..."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At this point, I'm here with the goal of meeting some groovy people whilst I get out of town. I primarily travel to see live concerts, which I love, but I soon plan to explore some bigger cities around a new vicinity I hope to move to this summer. Regardless, it's my hope and intention to interact with some interesting people, who reside in places to which I am traveling, and share some experiences that might facilitate and catalyze new perspectives for both parties. Oh, and fun--having fun is always nice too :P~

P.S. It'd be AWESOME to meet some people of similar musical persuasions and get them out to a concert I'm attending in the process of CoughSurfing :D

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love it! I've stayed with a couple people so far, and I've thoroughly enjoyed bother experiences! My hosts have been SUPER friendly and accomodating! I've also hosted some awesome bikers on a trip to Canada from Florida! :D

Movies: everything Gregg Araki does tops the list...starting with Kaboom, then Nowhere, Doom Generation, Totally Fucked Up, Splendor, Smiley Face, and Mysterious Skin...I also love Donnie Darko, Shortbus, I Heart Huckabees, Little Miss Sunshine, Me and You and Everyone We Know, Avatar, The Rules of Attraction, anything X-men, Brick, Waking Life, Holy Mountain, The Social Network, Limitless, The Box, Requiem For a Dream, Blood Into Wine, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Bruno, Bad Teacher, Brides Maids, Inglorious Bastards and all sorts of others...

Shows: I don't really watch TV per se...but I find/found ways to enjoy Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Lost, Weeds, Six Feet Under, Heroes, Tosh.0, Southpark, Archer, Glee, Daria, Drawn Together, Bob's Burgers, Workaholics, The Office, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Dexter, Simpsons, Unsupervised and some other trivial stuff...

Music: my FAVORITE arena...Tool, A Pefect Circle, Puscifer, Nine Inch Nails, Tori Amos, Deftones, Team Sleep, Crosses, Chevelle, 30 Seconds to Mars, Kings of Leon, Jonsi, Sigur Ros, Florence and the Machine, A.F.I., Bassnectar, Pereptual Groove, Skrillex, STS9, Pnuma Trio, The Birthday Massacre, Bloc Party, Ani Difranco, The Brazilian Girls, Dave Matthews Band, Filter, Girl Talk, How to Destroy Angels, Miike Snow, Mindless Self Indulgence, Modest Mouse, MuteMath, Phantogram, Death From Above 1979, Placebo, Telesma, Radiohead, Black Keys.........if we're on a same page with a good chunk of music, I'd probably like hearing from you :P~

Food: I only eat meat that swims or flies really...I LOVE all seafood...if it comes from the water, I'll eat it :P~ Otherwise, I like all fruit and vegetables pretty much, and I enjoy trying ethnic foods like Vietamese, Indian, Japanese, etc. Given my penchant for seafood, I'm certainly not vegetarian or vegan (while I do prefer almond milk to dairy), but I do enjoy a variety of vegetarian, vegan, and raw food dishes!

...just for fun: favorite artists= Alex Grey and Adam Scott Miller

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Gosh...I dunno...New Year's Eve in New York City at Alex Grey's COSM the last year it was there?...Boonnaroo 2007? All Good 2008? Lollapalooza 2009? Moogfest 2009? Bonnaroo 2010? Those were all awesome buffets of sounds...

I realize as these things are topping my "amazing thing done/seen" list that I have a ways to go...I hope to see more of Europe one day, especially Egypt, Itality, and Greece...although I'd like to wait for less fighitng to be going on in the vicinity...

I have also seen some other "amazing" or awe-inspiring things, but I'd rather let those stories come up more organically and in person :P~

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmmmm....I think some of this may be littlered in the others boxes I've filled out here...this is too close to my "personal philosophy" as I see it now...I'll rearrange things later out of boredom perhaps :P~

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd be happy to share some of my astrological passion with hosts. I do intuitive natal chart readings for people when given their birthday and time, and this is something I'd be happy to share with any hosts who might have an interest in such :)
