About Me

I'm a foodie who lives in Minnesota but is spending the summer traveling around Europe with the intention to avoid very large cities.

i love traveling and adventures with beloveds but also alone. I am currently taking the semester off of graduate school as well as on sabbatical from work.

When I am working I focus on non-profit and collective work in justice spaces. Broadly I'm a yoga teacher & a doula & life facilitator who loves their fam.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been couch surfing informally for about 20 years and using this site since 2006

I stopped using this app when I started traveling for work but now that I'm slowing down and have flexibility, it seems like an excellent way to meet new people and explore locally while I travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One of the more tender couchsurfing experiences i've had was when a friend of a friend let 5 of us crash on his dorm couches when we went to Vermont for the Translating Identities Conference in 2004.

We met new folks, platonically spooned 5 people in a row, and at sesame bagels all weekend!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

the most amazing thing i may have ever done was help my mother give birth to my younger brother.
