About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel the world on an immersive photographic journey

ABOUT ME

I travel, I take pictures, and I have a good time while I do it. I don't take life too seriously, I keep and open mind, and I have a broad perspective.

PHILOSOPHY

Attitude is everything and your attitude is a choice.
Go big or go home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While being new to the couchsurfing website, I have hosted, and been hosted numerous times in the last few years. My friends call me a nomad, and I have spent the majority of my post graduate life without a permanent residence.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only had positive experiences thus far. Admittedly some places are nicer than others, but you can always take away something positive from the couch surfing experience. I can't help but note a particularly helpful group of people in Los Angeles, California that continue to welcome me with open arms every time my path crosses theirs. From taking me surfing, climbing, hiking, to cooking family style dinners, their generosity and love continues to amaze.

Interests

Most of my time is spent with others. Every job I work is with a new crew of people, so there's a lot to learn in a short time. I play basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, football, tennis....anything with a ball really...I love being active and its an important outlet for me. Reading is another hobby that I take full advantage of while travelling: Non-fiction, sci-fi, historical fiction, thrillers, anything recommended to me :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Blazing Saddles and the Warriors are my top 2 movies
I listen to a lot of music on hypem.com
I just got through the amazon top non fiction reading list. The Lost City of Z was a pretty amazing read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I have done thus far is from a backpacking trip to Ecuador. Cotopaxi stands at 19,347, once of the highest active Volcanoes in the world and I am proud to have summitted. It was one of the hardest hikes I have done and the view on top was terrible, but I've never had a sense of accomplishment like I had at the top of that mountain.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to have conversations about perspective and I don't shy from personal notes. I have an eye for photography and like to share my experience behind the lens with others. I am happy to go on a walking tour, explaining my process while lending my equipment for use.
Cooking has been a hobby for years, and I occasionally get paid to do it as well. Lets get cookin.
