Overview
About Me
I'm half Indonesian, half Japanese. Born and raised in Kupang, Nusa Tenggara Timur.
I'm a freelance researcher and analyst working remotely from Indonesia. I work for foreign corporations, mainly in Europe and the US. During the day, I work at a custom motorcycle garage (Malamadre Motorcycles), to feed my love of mechanical engineering and working with my hands. Touching engines, feeling the grease on its gears, pondering the 25th century. I run an artisan leather crafts startup, sometimes, but it's not going too well right now.
While my ambitions keep me well occupied most of the time, I enjoy doing leisurely activities in my spare time, including, but not limited to: Sewing, painting, writing, reading (non fiction), pottery, dancing (ballet and salsa), practicing martial arts (muay thai), baking, making miniatures of vehicles and monuments from WW1 and WW2 out of scrap metal, learning languages, adaptive hunting, driving my motorcycle around town, and dabbling in Arduino projects.
Some things you may not like about me:
- I'm very cynical and you might not enjoy this. I'm also not an altruist.
- I have Asperger's syndrome - otherwise known as autism - though I wouldn't categorise it as one of my "worst qualities", to some, it might be so. Therefore I'm including it on this list.
- I'm almost always nonchalant. Heavy on the rational side and little to nothing on the emotional end of the spectrum.
- I'm not empathetic, but have great admiration for those who are.
