About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Der eine Tropfen auf dem heisen stein sein... beeing the one drop of water on a hot stone!

ABOUT ME

I think I am a friendly person and open to meet new people whenever possible. I love to travell and love to learn more about all different cultures. I always laugh a lot because it makes life easier. My friends would also tell you that I am never on time. I m always five minutes late :-) but you can be sure that I will be there whenever my friends need me.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is hard and unfair but if it hands you a lemon make lemonade :)
(or easy put: Do everything you can to enjoy what you get, enjoyment here is more than just having fun, it is a deep emotion of growing as a person with every experience you have, wether it is good or bad)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Loved the first time I surfed and had a really good time hosting just recently. Hosting felt like beeing on holidays in my own country/city. Looking at my city in a different way opend my eyes. I hope all host, who I will stay with in the future, will have a as good exerience with hosting me, as I had hosting couchsurfers :)

Interests

Most important for me is travelling. I always like to have new experiences, meet new people, learn about new culuture (and by that learn a lot about myself and my culture too). I love to learn new languages. Whenever I stay in another country I try to learn as much of the language as possible.
I like to talk to people about almost all topics. I enjoy really deep conversations the most.
Since my stay in ecuador I engage in slack lining. I like play- or cooking nights with my friends as well as going out to party. I love to read, especially English books (I would like to read books in other foreign languages too, but so far I am only reading fluent in English (and of course German), but I try to learn how to read in Hebrew at the moment, which is kind of tricky because of the different Alphabet. Horseback riding is on of my passions, too. There is no better thing than cantering on the back of a horse through nice country side especially in new countries. I also love my work at a regional radio station and I will always have a recodring devise with me when traveling to show people from my region how intersting all the other countries are. I m studying to become an English and Mathematics teacher for secondary school and I think for me there is no better job. I just enjoy spending time with teenagers :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

I am interested in lots of different books especially historical novels and novels playing in other cultures.I love to read English books. I really love the typicall women movies like the ones based on books of nicolas sparks (the notebook...) When ever I can get a hold of a certain book in English I rather read it in English than in German. I listen to lots of different types of music but most likely it is rock.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending 7 hours in the middle of nowhere in the Australian Outback with a bunch of nice people. Sometimes when travelling things get hectic but we had a break down and had to wait and it was the best time ever. None of us could go somewhere so we had lots of time talking, singing, we had a little camp fire (it was winter so no problem with bush fires...), we did little hikes, played funny little games and just enjoyed the view :)

I tried surfing (not couchsurfing ;) this year in Ecuador and it was amazing when I stood my first wave :) it is the best feeling ever after falling down so many times finnaly getting of your surf board with intention to do so :)

I met a nice girl and a nice boy, 14 and 18 years old in Ecuador and they invited us to their home. The first thing they did was giving us a present, even though they were living in a shelter only made of wood, with no shower, no rooms, only curtins between "living room" and "bed room", it was 20 m2 big, 7 people lived there :) They did not have much but nevertheless they wannted to share it with us... amazing... Out there are many people who have a lot but do not share... and this people did not have much but shared a lot with us (also a lot of nice experiences ;)

There are definitly lots and lots of more stories of amazing moments, amazing peolple or amazing things I have seen and met... Come to visit and I am more than happy to share more stories ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

I now a lot about the German History and Freiburg in particular, furthermore I have a big knowledge of horses... I am studying to become a teacher for English and Mathematics :) ask me any question in these direction and I will try to answer them ( or try to find someone who can ;)Have you ever been in a radio station and recorded a radio podcast or show? No? well come and I will teach you the basics of how to do radio :)
I always want to learn new languages.
