About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Settle down in Duesseldorf for now!

ABOUT ME

I guess I am pretty much an easy going person, love to be spontanious and adventurous. I really go with whatever life gives me - but for the most part life is wicked awesome to me! :-)

PHILOSOPHY

No reason to be sad when you are gonna leave home, because you alway will come back. But it might be a goodbye forever to leave a foreign country, a foreign place and friends you met there and that truly makes me sad sometimes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just got started offering a couch, bc for the first time in my life I have the opotiunity to do so. I surfed thou and I soo soo loved it and still do. It is such a joy to meet totally different people you usually would not meet in a lifetime. So that is why I am a big fan of CS. SO COME ON IN. BUT NOTICE: As much as I would love to take in as much people as possible, I have a crazy Job with crazy hours (social worker in an orphanage), so there is only a slight chance that you catch the gap. But do try!
IF YOU REQUEST MY COUCH MORE THEN A MONTH AHEAD I WONT BE ABLE TO ACCEPT/DECLINE BECAUSE I ONLY KNOW MY WORK SCHEDULE ONE MONTH AHEAD AND IT VARIES EVERY MONTH.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed a couple of times throughout the east coast and I was blessed because people were so awesome to me and trusted me. I totally believe in the idea of CS and would love to welcome people from all over the world in my city!
Had some crazy stories:
Brooklyn/NY/USA --> Surfed at a girl, who shared an apartment with 2 other roommates. They run the concept, that they want to have people around as much as possible. The more the better. So I end up living there for a couple of days with a wide range of people with different cultures, nationalities and personalities and it was fantastic. The whole livingroom was set up for that purpose - they all where so passionate about this, it was contagious. Could not have thought of any better place to stay and enjoy NYC for my first time.
Rutland/VT/USA --> Surfed at a girl where we realized that we know the same people... and out of the blue her daughter took me to Montreal... and furthermore she kinda hooked me up with a friend of hers I traveled with. Boy, I had a blast.
St. Johnsbury/VT/USA --> It was a freaking hassle to get there, bc my phone died (with directions) in the middle of the night, it rained and I got stuck with a friends Mustang in a barn yard of some stranger, but as it turned out it was not that bad, bc I got where I needed to get... we bonded and went to a contra dance club and afterwords hot tubing. Best time dancing ever.

I do love to travel, coz it is such a previleg to have friends all over the world where you can stop by and catch up.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Took off one month of work, booked a flight to JFK/NYC and a return ticket a month later and had hands down the best vacation in my life, without even having planed one thing. Just one story out of this trip:

Drove down with the coolest chick from New York to Florida in 28 hours, stayed there for a good amount of time (3 days) and drove up to Vermont in 24 hours. Crazy but was worth it every single minute.
