CURRENT MISSION
To see, understand, laugh and to learn
ABOUT ME
I'm a little bit of everything, really, but I am mostly creative, laid back, open-minded, and loyal. I get along very well with others, and for better or worse, I tend to always see the best in people. I pride myself in always doing what I say I'll do.
I'll do pretty much anything at least once--I have a curiosity of the world, and an attraction to things I am unfamiliar with; I hoard knowledge!
I love to cook, and I love to feed people more--I think it's one of the easiest and simplest ways to make a person happy, and I'm happiest when others around me are because I'm terribly empathic.
PHILOSOPHY
We're all in this life together, so let's make it as easy, enjoyable, and painless for each other as possible, eh? The only thing worth hating in the world is hate.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can host again soon in September. I'm always up to help others and try to make their visit an enjoyable one. I was a regular, active member in the St. John's community, and am looking forward to meeting my new locals in Edmonton.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Almost 2 years of events with members of St. John's CS. Have met the many travelers that connected to the community, hosted two people, and surfed once in Costa Rica.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hard to choose among the many highlights during a trip to Costa Rica--in no particular order: working with a sea turtle conservation project, rappelling down waterfalls, zip-lining above the rain forest, caving, and a Tarzan swing/leap of faith!
Teach, Learn, Share
-Comic Sans is a horrible font. Don't ever use it, I beg you! And font size 12 is entirely too large...
-The average person looking to print some travel photos will always be disappointed at the chunky quality, and wonder what went wrong. Nothing--it's just that the DPI (dots per inch) of your picture is set too low, typically 72. Change it to 300 (print quality), but be aware it'll decrease the physical size of your picture, but it has not been shrunk. I would say don't go lower than 150 DPI.
-Drink 2 litres of water a day--very soon, you'll notice that your general health has improved.
-It is not healthy to mix DEET and sunscreen.
-If you want to run faster for short distances, run on the balls of your feet. You'll work your calves a lot, but don't do it for long distances, though.
-Have a handful of almonds instead of an aspirin.
-Don't mix alcohol and caffeine--I'm looking at you, Jägerbomb!
