About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to travel the world...To step out of my comfort zone and throw myself in the deep end...Learn about & appreciate different cultures by experiencing their ways of life first hand...Meet interesting people and make life long friends.
ABOUT ME
Hi,
My name is Natalie. I am a 25 year old female from Australia.
At the end of August this year, I am venturing over to London for a working holiday. It will be my first time there. I am extremely excited and nervous at the same time.
At the moment, I work as a singer here in Australia, playing covers in an acoustic duo. I have recently completed recording an EP recording of some songs I have written. I cannot wait to visit London and see how the live music scene works over there. I'm hoping to meet some musicians along the way and continue working as a singer.
I qualified as a hairdresser in 2007 and completed my advanced diploma in applied fashion design and technology at the end of last year.
I like to consider myself a very friendly and polite person. I love to be around people whether its chatting on the couch over a coffee, or going out for a few cheeky drinks at the pub.
I find peoples' stories and life experiences very interesting and always want to hear about them as well as share my own...It is particularly intriguing when you are from different cultures and walks of life.
I am a very spontaneous and impulsive creature. If i want something and want it now, i am not afraid to make it happen. I am outgoing, definitely not shy but I also have a very sensitive and emotional side. As much as I love being around people, i also appreciate my down time where I can enjoy my own company and chill out :)
PHILOSOPHY
'If you truely believe in you, you're one-up already'
'For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.'

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had never even heard of couch surfing until a couple of weeks ago, my friend told me she knew of someone who traveled across Europe purely by couch surfing! I was immediately fascinated and went ahead to investigate what on earth it was.... And here I am!! :)
So, no personal couch surfing experiences as yet, I'm hoping I can change that in the very near future.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have an appreciation for all genres of music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was in high school I sang in a soul/motown band called the 'Sweethearts'. I experienced so many wonderful things whilst being in the band. We traveled around parts of Australia playing at many different music festivals. When I was 16, I got the opportunity to travel with the band to Italy, France and Switzerland. This was the most amazing experience, and a real eye opener to what is out there to see in the big wide world. We played at Paris Disney Land, the Poretta Sweet Soul Festival in Italy, the Lucerne Blue Balls festival in Switzerland and many other little venues along the way. It was an amazing trip and an opporuinty which I will grow old appreciating.
Last year, I also had the opportunity to travel to Hong Kong and China on a study tour for my fashion design course. This was amazing; the culture differences and ways of life were unreal to experince.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love food! and I love sharing my love for food through my cooking. I thoroughly enjoy cooking for others and seeing them enjoy it. They do say the way to one's heart is through their stomach ;)
I also love to share my love for music. If i can make one person feel emotions through my music, I'm a happy girl.
