I joined CS back in 2007. I met amazing people during my host time in Medellin Colombia, some of those first CSs I met are still my friends.

I know CS has changed a lot since then, but the spirit remains. The idea of sharing some time with strangers and the possibility of turning those strangers into friends is the most valuable thing you can get from CS. Despite people using is as a dating site or just to get free accommodation, I believe CS is way above those things. CS is about travelers or locals that want to meet people, is about helping others, is about CULTURAL EXCHANGE.

If you find this site 2 days before your trip, and you dont even take the time to fill your profile, PLEASE do not contact me. If you dont have time to tell me about yourself, I dont have time to open my house for you!!!

Besides my 1st rule is: NO REFERENCES = NO COUCH

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One is not enough!

Thailand with a baby! It was a challenge but it made us realize how beautiful Thai people are, how special kids are to them.

I did a solo trip to Kakadu, I got lost for hours in the bush and was saved by a ranger who helped me cross a river full of crocs to get to my camp site. Then, I spent a weekend with an aboriginal woman who taught me about bush food.

The beautiful Andes Mountains from an Airplane is breathtaking!

Japan! Staying with locals, eating like locals, avoiding the tourists traps. I fell in love with Japan and will move there if could find a job for me and hubby.

New Zealand: Experienced Maori villages.

My country, Colombia: is absolutely beautiful!

Mi pais! Cada pais tiene su propio atractivo y definitivamente colombia es uno de los mejores! No solo por que tenemos costas en ambos oceanos, no solo por que tengamos hermosas selvas, nevados, montañas, desiertos y mares, no solo por nuestros coloridos pueblitos y modernas ciudades, no solo por que tenemos una de las mayores diversidades en flora y fauna del mundo, no solo por nuestras hermosas mujeres, ni por nuestras fiestas y carnavales... todo esto se puede encontrar en muchos otros paises... pero no un colombiano! Colombia es lo que es y es lo mejor, por su gente!
