ABOUT ME

Friendly, open-minded and welcoming, gentle, compassionate and sporty. I particularly love writing, yoga, exploring the inner world and hiking through the mountains.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live my life in a mindful way, with the aim of feeling truly alive in every moment, regardless of what life challenges me with. I endeavour to be aware of who I am and act out of that truth. In the words of Thoreau:
"One should always be on the trail of one's own deepest nature. For it is the fearless living out of your own essential nature that connects you to the Divine"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not yet couchsurfed myself but so far hosting has been highly enjoyable and I am looking forward to receiving other couchsurfers in the near future. My two sons have been CouchSurfing for a number of years in as diverse places as the US, South East Asia, France, UK, Spain, Canada ...they have had amazing experiences and exchanges, often making friends they will continue to have contact with for a long time.

Interests

I am fascinated by who we are as human beings and our potential to create good in the world. I am currently interested in deepening my practice of mindfulness, meditation and yoga.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Giving birth is probably the most amazing experience I have ever had, except for perhaps when I went kayaking for the first time and was propelled backwards through the so-called 'Elephant's Teeth' in France. Needless to say I survived to tell the tale!

All kinds of people. I love surprises. And people who teach me to look beyond my own limited thoughts or opinions to discover a whole new vista.
