About Me
CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME
Originally from India, but grew up in the US. Just returned to Texas after traveling for a couple of years.
I like stories and pushing my boundaries. I'm mellow and easy-going. Share your experiences with me and I'll do likewise. Talking to other people, reading, and living in general are learning experiences, and I embrace them.
I'm into non-commercial means of existence, movement, and connection: hitchhiking, dumpster-diving, wild camping, and all other forms of the free life.
I like forming authentic, positive, empowering relationships with people. However I don't take myself as seriously as the previous statement implies.
I am a vegetarian, but I don't preach and don't have a problem with omnivores. I make a kick-ass guacamole and would be happy to make it for you.
I LOVE BIKES! if you are into biking as well, we should ride together.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in empathy, respect, and co-operation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Music, Movies, and Books
Crushing and enrapturing; serene and spine-tingling; bleak and beautiful.
If you absolutely must have genres: (post-)rock, (post-)metal, and progressive music generally. I also listen to electronic music, but I'm REALLY picky about it. However, I'll listen to anything if it's good enough.
I read voraciously. Mostly science fiction, which is my one true love when it comes to books. I will talk to you for hours about this subject if you're interested. I also like social/critical theory and historical studies, which are my main non-fiction reading material. Also a big fan of Borges, Pelevin, Eco, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I researched the indignados (AKA movimiento 15M) in the summer of 2011. In Madrid, I witnessed the atmosphere in Puerta de Sol when thousands came together in solidarity against the political and economic status quo. I met inspiring people, and we shared stories and viewpoints freely. It gave me great hope for our young generation worldwide.
Hitchhiking really opened up new worlds for me in a way I didn't understand or expect at first, but for which I'm deeply thankful.
Various rainbow gatherings, which are Eden on Earth and a totally different mode of existence and community from "everyday life".
