Overview
About Me
My name is Navah.
I love working with my hands, the sun, the warm, music and art of all kinds.
I practice ashtanga yoga-- and teach classes from time to time.
Recent graduate of the University of Vermont- where I studied Environmental studies, anthropology and human geography.
For work I am a barista, host and residential counselor.
For fun I am a metalsmith, leather worker and dancer.
Over the past 3 years I have lived and learned in some very vibrant coops and punk houses. I deeply appreciate the sharing of space as well as the love and commitment that goes into the process of living communally.
My partner Ethan and I met through the co-op community of our small city of Burlington.
Ethan is a Forester by trade and is deeply in love with woods.
He plays many instruments and sings from deep down in his soul. He is interested in homesteading and traditional skills, and has a lot to share about making things, preserving and growing food, and walking around in the big woods.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Me and Ethan will be traveling around Mexico- Central America- South America starting this winter January 2016!
We are really looking forward to seeing new landscapes, experiencing different social and cultural environments while listening to people's stories.
Couchsurfing seems like an wonderful opportunity to understand new places from the homes of people from that culture.

Music, Movies, and Books
We both have a love of many, many different forms of music. We both have made acoustic folk-type music using acoustic instruments, but Ethan has also recently begun making electronic pop-type music using computers and sythesizers. We love these types of music and everything in between.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ethan can make his face look just like a bulldog.
Teach, Learn, Share
Metal and leather work, basketry using natural materials, food cultivation and preservation, mushroom cultivation, tree identification, natural history, and how to hard boil a good egg.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Smiles, bad puns, anything else we have, a love of warm socks.
