ABOUT ME

My actual location is the hill country 10 miles south of Syracuse along U.S. Route 20 near the Finger Lakes .
I am a 67 yr. old retired USPS mail carrier . Military veteran of both the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force .
Been to all 50 states , the 1st being Hawaii where i was born , the last being Alaska (where i lived from '07 - '09) , ironically the 50th & 49th states . Outside of Canada never been outside of the U.S. but otherwise pretty well traveled especially Hawaii , California , Colorado , N Y State , and Alaska . Extensive hitchhiking throughout the U.S. West in the 1970's including the entire West Coast from bottom to top . Love anything outdoors and do my best to keep in shape , walking / hiking .
Proud father of 2 sons , grandfather of 2 grandsons .

PHILOSOPHY

Love good , stimulating , conversation with a heavy side dish of humor thrown in .
Truly a live / let live human being whose politics lean somewhat liberal / left .
Not a very materialistic person even though i'm a Taurus .
Meeting / helping people is what life's all about , right ?
Personal philosophy = if i "checked out" tomorrow , it's been a great , interesting run w/out all ups nor downs ...........

Good range of musical interests .
Avid reader of current events , sports , especially the Denver Broncos and anything related to Syracuse University football , basketball, & lacrosse.
Most anything aviation related and have "dabbled" in skydiving, sailplanes , ultralight planes , and hang gliding .
Interested in anything related to Hawaii .

Not a big movie guy nor book reader but i LOVE to read otherwise !
Musical tastes run the gamut from Bruce Springsteen to Pink Floyd with tons of other rock - reggae - folk bands / individuals mixed in .
600 + cd's in the inventory , 11,000 + songs on the IPod .

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living back in Hawaii with my family from 1959 - 1960 where we witnessed : Hawaii becoming a state , 2 of the most spectacular volcanic eruptions in Hawaiian history , and just before we moved back to NY in May 1960 , one of the strongest recorded earthquakes in history that triggered a tsunami that wreaked death and destruction on our home town of Hilo ,Hawaii . I was 9 yrs. old and remember that yr. like it was yesterday ..........
