Hello, I was born and raised in Turkey. My hometown is that small Agean town called Kuşadası but I study in Istanbul. I am doing masters in history.

I lived in France, Reims for 5 months in 2015. I studied there as an exchange student and had a chance to go around, travel, meet new people and couchsurf.

I have always loved travelling and tried never missing any opportunity for going abroad. But living abroad is as much interesting as travelling and full of new experiences.

I like seeing new places but when I am a tourist I always wonder how locals are living, what they are actually doing in that town and how they feel. I love to get local views as much as I can. I believe that being a tourist is never enough for getting into spirit of that place.

I love hearing stories, especially personal stories. I believe that the way we tell stories is the real history.

Currently, I am obsessed with documenting what I see, feel, touch, hear, smell. That's why I take photos, write and collect weird stuff from the places I had been.

I want to know local people in the places I travel, hear their stories and learn their cultures from an inner perspective. Sometimes I travel alone and couchsurfing is a good plae to find a companion who knows around well.

Sailing the west coast of Denmark with 20 other young people for 2 weeks on a boat called Fulton where I worked as a crew member, cleaned, cooked, night-watched and slept on hammocks. Watching the sun set while visiting the windmills fields planted in the middle of the sea.

I can teach some Turkish if interested. I can share my culture and tell about Turkey as much as I know. Not a good cook but can teach some simple Turkish food.
