About Me

I'm an artist currently on the road. originally from the United States, although I grew up in Mexico and have been living in Australia for the past 10 years. I studied fine art with a major in painting, and am currently completing a series of artist residencies in different countries. I was previously in Mexico City for three months, currently in the United States and will be in Paris for the whole month of October, before heading to Bulgaria for a residency for another month. I have another residency in Italy next year, and am working to get accepted into a painting course in north america next summer.

I'm currently in a time of my life with a lot of questioning, reconsideration and change. I am trying to see if I can carve a life for myself by supporting myself through my artistic practice. I am pretty open and have a tendency of asking people a lot of questions about themselves when getting to know them, within the boundaries of consideration and respect of course. I love living communally, and a long term goal of mine is to acquire land with a group of friends to practice sustainability and share our lives together. You can come hang out on our property one day if you come to Australia:) I feel very lucky to live in such a beautiful country.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting new people and learning from others, I love sharing conversation, knowledge and experience. I am accustomed to living in communal spaces and am a big believer of sharing. I am also on a very small budget and cannot afford to rent in Paris for a whole month, and was hoping to alleviate this with some memorable couchsurfing experiences.
I left Australia for Mexico on very short notice earlier in the year as I was offered a great artistic opportunity. I had planned to work here in the United States but that has not really gone to plan, so am not as financially prepared as I would like to be. I am not a freeloader, just a bit naïve at times and someone that took an opportunity.

Interests

pretty keen on anything tbh. I would like to know more and continue learning about my interests, and the interests of others. Anything is interesting when you are learning from someone who is passionate about it.
