About Me

Hello!

I'm 24 years young, from Canada, and currently completing my Master's in Biology at The University of British Columbia and hope to work with wild animals someday! I was born in Iran, grew up in Toronto and moved to the West Coast for school :)

I like to think that I'm enthusiastic and open to meeting new people and learning about different cultures. My curiosity drives my willingness to explore the world with an open mind!

I can promise a clean and pleasant experience to anyone who decides to offer their hospitality to me! I'm more than happy to explore on my own and/or socialize with hosts; whatever is most convenient.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To take memories and leave footprints all around the world! There is so much to see that we all take for granted. Although I'm new to it, I believe couchsurfing is the best way to truly immerse yourself in the culture and learn about wherever you're visiting first-hand.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love many types of music from EDM/House to Indie, Pop, Folk, Country, Atmospheric Rock, and of course the classic throwbacks. It all depends on my mood!

I've read so many books it's difficult to know where to begin, but I absolutely love Dystopian novels (e.g. The Maze Runner, Uglies). I love authors such as John Green, Sarah Dessen, David Levithan, and more! One of my all-time favourite books that I always recommend is The Book Thief; it's a truly moving and beautifully written story.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So far, deciding to study abroad is potentially the most amazing thing I've done! As cliche as it sounds, it's a truly life-changing experience and it alters your perspective on everything.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my knowledge about the places I've travelled and lived in, particularly Iran! I always get so excited when people say they want to visit a place that is usually depicted negatively in the media. I'd like to change that misconception one person at a time by trying to convince people that it's quite a beautiful country and not at all what people think!
