Overview
About Me
I'm fun-loving, I'm a logical thinker who is creative (poetry, dance, graphic design, woodworking), I LOOOVE music -- dancing to, listening to, singing. More often than not, I can get drawn into long, deep, intellectual conversations about life, science, history, religion, and more.
I love CouchSurfing as a concept because of the people it naturally draws in. People willing to open their homes are often very thoughtful, worldly, friendly, and interesting. The opportunity to understand culture through the eyes of someone who calls that culture home offers a richer travel experience than visting all the tourist hot sports. Don't get me wrong though, I still like some touristy treats!!
*I wish it went without saying, but I will just note that I am not your typical loud, obnoxious American traveler.*
PHILOSOPHY
Do whatever works in this life. If you dig it, do it. The most important thing to me in this life is honesty: I will never lie to you, and, in some small, wishful, and maybe naive way, I hope the world will treat me the same.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've participated over the years -- I stayed with people across the East Coast and Europe in Zurich, Washington DC, South Carolina, Paris, across Holland, and NYC. It has been a while since I have surfed though!
I've also hosted folks from the USA, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Hungary. I love showing my guests the hidden gems around Boston :)
FAVORITE COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A man in Zurich was kind enough to let my friend and I stay with him with less than 24 hours notice! Then, he treated us to an apartment party the next day!
I took a break for many years, but I am still in love with the experience.
Interests
Music, movies, travel, reading, hanging out with friends. My friends use the noun "dancer" first to describe me.
I loooove cities at night, wandering through them, seeing how the lights cast a new, usually better tone on them!

ACTIVITY
I hitched a ride on a passing sailboat in the Netherlands. I stuck out my thumb, they asked where I was going, then encouraged me to jump the meter gap onto their deck as they passed the dock. They fed me watermelon and grapes as we sailed to the next town.
Teach, Learn, Share
Share: Stories - I am at my best in storytelling and I have a few!, a thoughtful understanding of American culture, podcast recommendations, cooking - I can cook!, friendship
Learn: cultures, languages, music, who you are as a person, stories, cooking - teach me to cook your favorite dishes!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I genuinely think that the most I have to offer in the context of Couch Surfing is my ability to tell stories. Storytelling is what I live and breathe, and it comes across in my nature. I can captivate with stories, but not overtake the entire conversation :)
