Overview
About Me
PLEASE NOTE: I am extremely busy with school, especially during the week. Feel free to send me requests and I will host whenever possible, but if I can't it's nothing personal.
I recently graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, DC with a double major in Government & French. I love doing anything outside, plus traveling and meeting new people.
I am avidly interested in politics, so I love keeping up to date on the news as well as discussing current events with people. I have been studying French for nine years and now live in the country for the school year, where I teach English in collège and lycée.
Some of my favorite things to do are biking, reading, running, playing tennis, hiking, debating with people, and being outside. I always like trying new things and love being active.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people and trying new things, so I'm looking to meet locals in the places that I'm going. I also like showing people my city, so look forward to returning the favor.

Music, Movies, and Books
Some favorite book titles off the top of my head are "Endurance" by Alfred Lansing, "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini, "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak, "Emile" by Rousseau, "Journey into the Whirlwind" by Eugenia Ginzburg, "On The Road" by Jack Kerouac, and of course the "Harry Potter" and "Hunger Games" series.
Favorite movie is "My Cousin Vinny." I also like psychological ("Shutter Island") and historical types ("Joyeux Noël" is a classic).
Music: I don't have great musical tastes but some of my favorite artists are Eminem, Ratatat, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Flume, La Femme, Daft Punk Stromae, and I have fucking loved Taylor Swift since I was about 10. Currently looking for French-language music to practice my French listening skills.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitch hiked around Iceland — found amazing people, mountains, hot springs
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can teach you some French, or a movement-language called eurythmy (it's funny).
Learn: The main thing I want to learn is more about the places I visit, but I also love to learn new sports and try new foods/drinks.
Share: I hope to make and share good memories through shared adventures.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Interesting conversation, willingness for adventure, and friendly.
