I am a Software Engineer by day and B-I-G dreamer by night. I dream of travelling all over the world and see the wonders all around. I work for a foreign company in my country, so although I have been in Bangladesh all my life, I get taste of many different cultures at my work place, like American, Indian, Turkish and more. Maybe that is the only thing I never could dislike about my workplace.

I love music, festivities, nature, technology and a lot more. Sometimes I get surprised how I get so much interest in so many different things. But that's me...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The most favorite hobby of mine is travelling. Travelling to new places, meeting new people, learning their culture, language, manners always fascinates me. Also, I do believe, there is nothing more interesting than having a wide network with people all over the world. So, as soon as I heard about the community from a friend, I went on internet and joined. Hope the journey will be sweet like I anticipate.

Music, Movies, and Books

I see a LOT of movies and listen to a LOT of musics. It is quite hard to list some here.

But if I go for genre, I like Action, Sci-Fi, Comedy movies more than any others, though I am open to all kinds. If any movie comes as a combination of these genres, I just LOVE them! I love movies with twists and turns, that leaves you astonished and makes you discuss with your friends so extremely about it like your life depends on it (LOL).

For Music, I have a very variable taste which is difficult to describe even for me. All I can say, any music with soothing beats, sick solos, amazing instrumentals makes me happy. I like hip-hop, dubstep, pop, but that doesn't necessarily mean I don't like slow music, rock or metal. I enjoy any good music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

If I say about travelling, most probably, the most amazing one was trekking to a water-fall called "Nafakhum" at Bandarban, Bangladesh. One of the most adventurous journey I've ever had.

The area is out of general civilization with scattered aboriginal villages all over the places. There is no electricity, no telephone network and no transportation other than very small boats (more like Canoes) that is quite dangerous to ride on the upstream of the mountain river "Shangu". You can literally feel that you are gradually riding up a mountain.

I went there with a bunch of friends on a sudden trip with no plan. But it was one of the most enjoyable, hectic, adventurous, dangerous and educational trips I've ever had in my life till now.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can obviously share my culture with my host, the way of life we maintain, the hospitality and generosity that comes with our culture. I am a fun-loving man, and I hope I can make the time of my stay memorable for both of us.

Currently, I do not have enough facility to host someone at my home, but I would love to return the favor to my hosts if they wish to visit my country by showing them around, plan their trips and make their stay enjoyable. And if the time permits, accompany them on their travel. In future, I would definitely host others when I have the chance and for my hosts, my doors will be always open.
