About Me

Born in Phillipines, flew to Singapore when I was one. Lived here ever since, so I'm pretty much more in touch with the culture and lifestyle here than my home country.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Few years back, I once gave a simple sightseeing day tour to someone who posted that they'd be visiting the country over reddit. Only shortly after did I discover the concept of CS.

Like others, I'd love to meet new people and visit new places if I'm over in another country. A simple meal, a walk in mall, a trip to a hidden gem in a city. Surprise me, or humble me down. I'm up for anything

Likewise, I'd love to guide/accompany others visiting this place. Or if you're just up for a short meetup, no problem.

It's been years since I hung out with someone or did Couchsurfing because of school. But it's my last year now in Uni, so why not?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's the smallest things that amaze me. but visiting new urban town development projects is rather satisfying, particular the Punggol town project.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you're here visiting Singapore, I'd like to show and share parts of Singapore that pretty much define a typical average Singaporean lifestyle and culture.

I mean, Central Singapore is nice and scenic and all, but I feel that tourists should see the Heartlands of Singapore: our Residential town areas less than hour's trip from the City Centre to have a feel of the quaint and simply vibe of HDB living.

Although I don't intend to bring you around the typical touristy areas, I have brought and tagged along CSers around the city area. I think I'll eventually get tired of it. It's best we hang out after you've done your standard tour in Singapore :)

Anyways, I can teach you some Singlish. It's not just adding ~lah to the end of every sentence! It's much more complex and intricate than that. I can also share about my experiences and culture in Singapore. If you're expecting the exoticism of an Asian country, you'll be quite disappointed at how too familiar it is to most Western cities. But that discovery in itself is worth having a visit here.

I used to self learn Japanese, but I'm studying Japanese in NUS at Level 4 (which is around N4 to N3 level).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I never really been hosted before, only met up with other Couchsurfers. I'll be neat, polite in your place. If I cook (eggs and sausages only) or do some menial thing like do your chores is kind of no different that Airbnb albeit bartering, but I can try anyways. I don't mind having conversations with you. But do understand if I want time for myself to see the sights I wanna see. If I'm flying over to your country you can request for a local gift from my country if you want to. Though, I can't think of anything that others would want from here. :)
