ABOUT ME

We're friendly, creative types who like to laugh and have adventures. Allie is a writer for the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and a former journalist who still freelances from time to time. Nick is a Web developer, also at SCAD, who sidelines as a musician and producer (he rigged the guest bedroom to serve as his recording studio but don't worry, there's space for an air mattress too.) We also have a kick-ass pug, Beau.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Nick spent a summer couchsurfing in Europe. Allie grew up living in Cote d'Ivoire and France before coming back to the U.S. in her teens and is eager to welcome fellow travelers (salut aux francophones!)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nick, while studying abroad in Copenhagen, told his classmates in Psychology of Happiness that he intended to spend the summer backpacking around Europe. They told him about CouchSurfing. From then on, he crashed on couches in Denmark, Belgium and Holland.

Allie, well, she read an article about CouchSurfing in the New Yorker and liked it. She has since couchsurfed with friends on trips around the region. As a host, she likes to make guests feel comfortable and at home during their travels.
