Where to begin?

I have had the fortune to have met many a great people, travel to 5 continents, experience living in various countries, among dozens of other precious moments which has only grown my thirst for new experiences, adventures, and friendships.

PHILOSOPHY

Hitchhiking in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Nothing compares with the sensation of standing on the side of a local road or border crossing, not knowing where you'll end up or who you'll meet. Language barriers are no problem as it is in these situations where true human to human communication occurs.

Despite my background in math and science, I also have a love for learning different languages. As a native Portuguese speaker, I have a good grasp of the main Romance languages. Although far from perfect, I can make conversation in Spanish, Italian and French. I love the sound of the Dutch language (especially Vlaams) and have a pretty good grasp on it as well. My German skills are pretty basic and that is definitely something I need to work on...though I never seem to have the proper motivation to stick through with it. I've been teaching myself Russian for the past couple of years but I feel that I need to spend some time in Russia to truly develop my skills.
