About Me

Hola!
Ciao!
Guten tag!
Bonjour!
Olá!
Hello!!

I'm Nick! I’m currently backpacking through South America. Started off in Colombia and now am in Peru.. and should be in Chille by next week.

Before backpacking I was living in Spain teaching english as an Auxiliares de Conversación for the Ministry of Education. I lived in Madrid for one year and Mallorca for two years.

And before Spain I had no background in education at the slightest. In university I studied Marketing. After university I worked at an educational travel company in Boston, Massachusetts organizing international travel for students in secondary school.

I've always had a passion for travel but having the opportunity to help young people see the world motivated me to pursue education. Moving and working in Spain has been by far the best experience of my entire life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm very passionate about learning about new cultures and having unique experiences. Everyone has a story and I think learning more about people and their history makes you a better person.

I think when traveling anyone can just go on TripAdvisor and pick the number one tourist attraction but I believe to truly find an authentic and cultural experience you need a local to help show you the ropes!

Interests

Traveling.. go figure

I also enjoy outside activities. I have ran two half marathons and just started training for my third this spring. I also enjoy swimming, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking

I love music! I play a bit for piano and drums. I'm always interested in checking out a new band.
