About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To push the limits of my comfort zone, and to help others do the same.
ABOUT ME
I work as a technology consultant USAID and a few other government agencies, specializing in websites and interactive data visuals.
I love to travel, and I adore meeting new people. I like cooking, reading, craft beers, and going out dancing. I'm also a huge live music fan. I can listen to anything although I'm partial to Jazz, Hip hop, reggae, grunge, and punk.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe it's important to live in the moment and not to take oneself too seriously. I think an open mind, and consideration for others are undervalued virtues.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've primarily been a host on couchsurfing.org for the past few years. I'm looking forward to doing some surfing, and to continuing to help people along in new places by offering my couch!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I informally "surfed" on couches in my college and immediate post-college life, and am grateful to have couchsurfing as a means to pay forward the kindness I've been shown by many relative strangers.
Interests
I enjoy socializing, listening to music, dancing, and meeting new strange people from new strange places. I'm a fan of Buddhism, cool data visualizations, running, rye whiskey, and lying in the grass. I like to work hard and play hard, and believe life is too short to pass up on new experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I almost drowned at the "meeting of the waters" (encontro das aguas" on the Amazon river. It was a sobering experience in such a beautiful part of the natural world.
