About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To continue my quest of being "worldly."
ABOUT ME
51, Hispanic, single mom; officially now an empty nester! I sold everything in my house in Phoenix, AZ and moved to Rapid City, SD to start my life all over again. I am a grant writer, so there is never a shortage of job opportunities. I work for a great nonprofit in Rapid City and am happy. I am an explorer by nature.
PHILOSOPHY
Wow! This is too deep. I'm not ready to share this yet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to host travelers in my home. Heads up, though...my teeny tiny house is a little messy, but the sheets and towels are clean, the house is warm, and the dog is friendly.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I love that my tiny 2BR rental house is in a frequently traveled area. I am near Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument and Sturgis. The Black Hills are beautiful!
Interests

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a Kindle and a Nook Color. I am currently reading about Theodore Roosevelt.
I have seen the new True Grit movie twice. I love it! I think Bridges should win an Oscar. It made me read the book again.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I've done is have children. They change everything you ever thought was true. I want them to know more than I ever thought I could know. I want to open doors for them.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn more Spanish.
I want to teach English.
I do some training on grant writing and grants research.
