ABOUT ME
A guy that tries to enjoy life to the fullest.
Crazy but nice :P
He's always late
Open-minded
By Mark Smit
In more detail, I would describe myself as a person that grabs opportunities. Trying to always improve myself when it comes to my skills and being self critical. I like having people around me but can at the same time very much enjoy my privacy. I'm quite flexible and can adapt myself quite easily in any situation. I mean hey, we don't always get to choice the people that we meet or the pickles we're in at a certain moment right ;).
I enjoy philosophical talks and am quite open minded when it comes to religion, personal believes or cultural habits. Doesn't always mean that I agree with them, but acccepting and respecting each other's believes is what makes life great. We're all sharing the same planet.
Love to learn more about different cultures but more importantly ''you'' as a person. I don't believe a person's personality is formed by the country he/she grew up in. It would certaintly have influence on who you become, but it's still you who decides what is valuable to you and what is not.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The reason I'm on couchsurfing is aside from the obvious financial saving reasons a nice way to get to know new people around the globe. I travel a lot (maybe not as much as the general couchsurfer), and culture is more than just the temples, hills, mountains and food within a country. It's the people as well. And well mountains don't talk back...... :P
Sharing stories, laughing, having fun or just stay silent all works out for me. I currently live in Taiwan, but have travelled throughout asia for 7/8 months now (reminds me to update that number every month hehe), working as a model/actor in different asian countries. It's a lot of fun. Therefore I couchsurf nowadays mostly in Asia when I arrive for a quick shoot, or when I have a holiday and just passing through to enjoy the new country.
Interests
Working out, hanging out, chilling out, acting, kung fu and watching japanese anime :), visiting new countries, reading. (Thought I would make this a bit shorter ;) )

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
hmmm, climbing and sleeping on the ''not for public trespassing'' part of the Great Wall in China... Awesome!!
Imitating some of my teachers during the graduation ceremony. Stand ovation afterwards. Got credit for the things I love to do the most. Really felt good to hear the compliments
Teach, Learn, Share
Let's talk about that when we meet in person. Every teaching is still based on a personal opinion. For 1 person the advice or way of living works, for the other it doesn't.
Let's have a good time anyway :), sharing some laughter is always good in my opinion.
