Backpacking USA and Canada! Almost complete!

ABOUT ME

I was born in Oklahoma and raised there through most of my childhood. When I was entering my teen years I moved back and forth between Oklahoma and North Carolina every few months, and I think that is what sparked my interest to travel. My dad picked up truck driving during my teen years, too, so when I wasn't living with my mom I was out on the road with him. I have been to all but about 9 or 10 states, including Hawaii. I would like to visit every state eventually, and then go international starting *hopefully* with Norway or Iceland. Other than my traveling desires, I am a pretty laid back 26 year old. I love the outdoors and anything related to it, I am honest(sometimes to a fault), sometimes shy, I have been accused of being funny, and I love to meet new people. I play the guitar, and actually used to teach for the Academy of Music back in Oklahoma for a time. I try to stay positive where I can and love to obtain wisdom from the experiences and people I meet.

*UPDATE*
I have successfully backpacked the western half of the USA, the Midwest, the South, and now I am finishing through the Northeast. After the Northeast, I am backpacking across Canada to Alaska!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am traveling at the moment, so I have only had the opportunity to surf, but plan to host when I get home to Alaska, definitely. I have met several active members outside of surfing and hosting, and several while surfing or hosting. All wonderful people, and wonderful experiences so far!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I have had 3 awesome hosts. Working on my 4th :D

My first 3 were all in Seattle, WA. From having the best Philly Cheesesteak in my life, to dining at a members only club, to a wild night on the town after visiting Bruce Lee's gravesite- all amazing experiences!

Traveling! The outdoors. Climbing, hiking, fishing, hunting, you name it! I am on a constant quest to better myself. I love to seek wisdom from people and their experiences. I want to travel the world and see amazing things and people. I also enjoy music and play the guitar. I am a HUGE Lady Gaga fan.

I love music in general. I am very open with this. I play the guitar(11 years), and I love to jam to anything from classical to metal to old school rap to club music. I am a huge fan of 80's ANYTHING but in regards to question, 80's horror movies. I also enjoy chick flicks, 90's movies, and the occasional comedy. I don't really care too much for war movies, though, except ones like Inglorious Basterds. I do most of my reading online, but I like Grisham books, but most of the stuff I read is either on the world(past, present and future), survival, and anything I am curious to learn about at the time.

Too many too list... But seeing the end of a rainbow and experiencing a very rare lunar event unfold above the Seattle skyline with my camera ready in a very euphoric place has to be the top ones..

I have seen almost every cool thing there is to see in this country. I have studied many religions and adopted my own theories based on my research. I love to learn more than I like to teach. I have seen the best of the best in life and the worst of the worst. I try to learn from my past and apply it. I believe in forgiveness and love, and accept people for who they are...
