I'm a cool dude who plays drums and loves music and good friends. I have a big Fro! I'm very friendly and kind, clean and respectful of other people's places and property. Treat others how you would want to be treated! Im still pretty new to couchsurfing.com as a website, but as a touring musician i have slept on countless couches.

i love meeting new people and especially meeting locals in the places that i travel, because the guide books dont have the info im really looking for. i like to know what people who live in a place do in that place. and one of my favorite things to do is to learn various trades or activities from people i meet, so if you have something you love to do and can teach others to do it, you have my full attention. and hopefully i can teach you something too.

I was on the coast of Mexico in the state of Oaxaca, and there was a place where you could go and release sea turtles into the ocean. The main guy, Mario, goes up and down the beach every night collecting sea turtle eggs and reburying them at his site. this prevents other animals from digging them up and eating them, so that the turtles survive.

We went and did the typical tourist activity of releasing the turtles (this was amazing on its own, but it got better), then we spoke to the guy and he told us we can come on the night ride up and down the beach searching for fresh turtle eggs! later that night we hopped onto the four wheeler and cruised up and down a long stretch of beach, driving by crabs holding their arms out in defense and epic sea cliffs. We found two turtles laying their eggs, waited patiently at each one and then collected and reburied them back at the site. This was all a really cool experience, but it was also this: Riding on what is essentially a glorified Go-Kart, with a guy named Mario, up and down the beach searching for turtles. If thats not straight out of Mario Kart Koopa Troopa Beach, i dont know what is....

I love teaching drums, music in general, music production, basic guitar and bass and keyboards, snowboarding, basically all the things that i love to do. im learning spanish this year and love speaking the language with others to really boost the learning curve.

i can share a great attitude and my curious and inquisitive nature, always wondering whats going on in the places im at, and wanting to know the history of areas and the significance of things. all of that info keeps me fascinated for hours. i can also cook some great stuff, especially when its making a new dish out of whatever is available!
