ABOUT ME

Hellou,

I am Lasse, you can check the meaning from urban dictionary. Please dont. I think i'm shy, and loud and social and sometimes funny. So this is quite hard. :)

I see myself chilled, funloving guy, who doesnt want anything bad for anybody. Utilitaristic funview, you know, as much as possible for as many as possible. :D

I like to talk and think and analyze and debate (friendly). I hobby cooking and science, latter is actually my new career choice. Oh well at least study choice.

I think I need to return to this, after few beers, 4am on a sunday morning. I'm sure I can tell all about me then! :)

2 years later:

"Seems like time to update my profile."

I never came back from the the "after a few beers" I had before, so I need to update this from my summerjob officework where fun comes to die.

I've started a new path in my life since the last update, well to be honest, I always was on this path now I've just re-found it. Space! So I'm studying astronomy nowdays, actually the part I'm most interested is cosmology - studying the structure of the universe! Every day I get deeper in to this rabbit hole, where all the biggest questions are (well at least in my opinion :D), and boy there are no answers, only search for them. I've gone back million years in evolution and become a hunter-gatherer (tho my beard is still extinct huh?) and on any meeting, there might be a chance of sharing the stuff we've gathered.

Damn. I think I made my profile look like a supergeek. I hope you can see through that - I could have said I love math!

PHILOSOPHY

I don't have any one line that would describe my personal philosophy very well, but I think this is the only life we get, and we are extremely lucky to live (and to die), so we should enjoy the ride, the ups and the downs, feel everything, try to do our best to understand things better, do good things to others and it will come back to you.

I've surfed some couches in my travels and now I'm hosting in Helsinki.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've spent a lot of time with many many couchsurfers in Helsinki whom were hosted by my close friends. And had so much fun :)

I did also surf a couch in Ethiopia and USA.

Interests

Here will be bunch of things that I find interesting beside meeting new interesting people :D

Science, all of it. Like space and dogs and stuff.

Psychology and philosophy, I find myself of being a sort of kitchen-psychologist and philosopher.

I'm not really enthusiastic sports fan guy dude, but for some reason I still find myself enjoying big games in soccer and hockey.

Culinary arts, or cooking, has been my hobby for the last 10 years or so. Some people like my foods, I think I need more practice. This I enjoy most.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movies are Garden State and Into the wild, love them. For music, I've listened a lot of Muse, The Killers and something like that, but I'm open to everything depending on the mood. Indie! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think traveling in Africa has been most amazing. I've got to go places where no tourist have ever been, and not many white people either. I did a 6 week tour in southern Ethiopia in 2008 and a 2 month trip 09-10, covering south and north Ethiopia and some Tanzania.

Teach, Learn, Share

If the space is infinite, there is a perfect copy of our entire universe, only 2^10^118 meters away. I find this dizzying, and awesome. :]
