About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To continue traveling and expanding my knowledge of the world. Meeting people with different cultures and experiences is the best part of traveling, which is where CS comes in!

I moved from the USA to start a Masters program in Frankfurt Germany in October 2018. I plan to make use of this opportunity to continue seeing new cities - who has time for homework anyways! During March break between semesters, I went to Cologne, Bruges, Lille (trip 1), then Sofia, Istanbul (trip 2) and finally Seville, Granada, Cordoba (trip 3).

ABOUT ME

Easy going, free spirited, love beer and good conversation. Love trying new things that are unique to a city, culture, etc. Life is short and I believe in taking risks to make the most of it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet like-minded travelers from around the world. Experience new cities, different cultures. Expand my mind with a sense of adventure and thrill of meeting interesting people, eating different food and trying local brews.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: My tastes are quite varied ranging from indie rock (Death Cab for Cutie) to pop (Justin Timberlake) to electronic (Kaskade). Currently, I am playing a lot of Drake and Odesza. Singing in acappella in college, I also really enjoy listening to Pentatonix and song covers.

Movies: Not a big movier goer, I really enjoy social activities involving conversation more. That being said, Good Will Hunting is probably my favorite movie of all time. I'm also a huge fan of standup comedy, ask me and I can recite many Dave Chappelle jokes.

Books: Harry Potter, the best series of all time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Island hopping in Split, Croatia. This was part of a larger Euro Trip in 2016 where I went from Madrid to Barcelona to Copenhagen to Stockholm to Oslo to Split to Warsaw to Krakow over 3 weeks.

I used trains for most of my travels in Europe and stayed at a number of party hostels. The fun people I met through these travels has reinvigorated my interest in hosting/surfing on CS!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a native English speaker so can help folks practice the language. I've also lived/studied in both the USA and Germany so have thoughts on the two education systems & cultures.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you are planning to travel in Europe anytime soon, I have a lot of advice from cities to visit, things to see and best hostel experiences.
