About Me
Please read this Couchsurfing Guide if you're new to hosting or looking for some advice in surfing:
https://www.projecthustle.org/couchsurfing-guide
NOTE: If you're looking to be hosted, note that I live about an hour from SF. I'm usually SUPER down to meet up with folks so even if you don't want to stay with me, message me when you're around and we can meet up in SF for coffee / drinks.
ABOUT ME
Well I guess I'm a lot of things, but first and foremost, I'm more open-minded and easy-going than most people. I'm a super smiley, high energy person!
I usually get along super well with people and usually get invested in really connecting with people - learning about their backgrounds, how they got where they are, their interests, their dreams - what makes them who they are.
I'm also SUPER SUPER intellectually curious - a way of saying there's nothing more I enjoy than gleaning new insight on a topic or having an epic philosophical conversation with someone. That is my conversation high.
I still don't think that fully captures who I am, though. A survey I took a few months ago (UPenn's VIA Survey of Character Strengths) estimated my top strengths to be (in order):
1. Hope, optimism, and future-mindedness
You expect the best in the future, and you work to achieve it. You believe that the future is something that you can control.
2. Humor and playfulness
You like to laugh and tease. Bringing smiles to other people is important to you. You try to see the light side of all situations.
3. Perspective wisdom
Although you may not think of yourself as wise, your friends hold this view of you. They value your perspective on matters and turn to you for advice. You have a way of looking at the world that makes sense to others and to yourself.
I'd say that's about right! I am usually quite playful and I've always enjoyed making people laugh :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I *love meeting people and traveling.
I like the way couchsurfing allows me to give back - to provide something so intimate - one's house, a snapshot of one's life - that appeals to me.
