Overview
About Me
Hello! I'm Neha. Originally from Delhi (India), I came to Germany in November, last year for a 6 month long internship in Bamberg.
I'm 21, currently working as a Business Development Intern at atrain GmbH. I completed my Bachelor's in Psycholgy just last year.
The REAL things to know about me:
1. Absolute dog-person
2. LOVE Friends and GoT
3. Want to get access to the Berlin startup scene
4. Way to connect with me - long discussions (that might turn into debates) about all things philosophical
5. Always up for an adventure.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to explore as much of Europe as I can till the time I'm here. The kind of things you learn and experiences you can have while staying with locals is unmatched. You can't really understand the intricacies and nuances of a culture in a standardized hotel room. And also, I think it's a great way to meet new people and make friends :)
Interests
I have a deep interest in psychology and all things interesting. I love engaging in long discussions about, well anything - from human psychology to computer games. As long as it's something interesting and debatable, I'm all ears!
I'm also very curious about the startup ecosystem in Europe, especially Berlin. Last year, I got acquainted with the world of entrepreneurship, and since then, I have been actively looking to gain some experience working at a startup. i really want to get a taste of the culture, the agility, and boundless creativity and talent of startups.
In my free-time (which is sadly a rare occurrence in adult life), I enjoy reading, watching movies and some tv shows, music, and most importantly- eating.
I'm a Friends (the TV show) devotee. I love that show. I know all the dialogues by heart. Oh, and let's not forget Game of Thrones! =D

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I'm into alt-rock mostly.
Movies: As for all-time favourites, I'd say - Before Sunset, Before Sunrise, Before Midnight, The Lion King, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, all the X-Men movies, Midnight in Paris, Mean Girls. Can't think of anymore right now but I assure you, I'm a big movie buff.
Books: The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand, The Da Vinci Code.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I know it's not that amazing, but I felt amazing and so I'll talk about it. I got up one morning during the Christmas break and spontaneously decided I wanted to see Europe. My excitement and absolute craziness rubbed off on my roommate and she decided to join me on my completely unplanned trip. She and I BlaBlaCar-ed from Bamberg (Germany), where we lived, to Prague and Paris. Unfortunately, she had to cut her trip short and go back, but I carried on and visited Amsterdam.
It was particulaly awesome for me since I've grown up in a very sheltered environment in New Delhi since it's not very safe to travel around on your own (especially for women). I felt liberated. It was absolutely amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm trying to learn German right now. It's quite challeneging, I must admit. But I'm determined to acquire at least basic level knowledge while I'm still surrounded by native speakers.
As for teaching, I used to be a dance (jazz and contemporary) instructor a few years ago, but I doubt I can do that now after binging on "Apfelkrapfen" and "Schnitzel". :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
If anyone wants to learn Hindi, I'm there! Alternatively, if anyone is planning to visit India, I have a lot of friends who would be more than happy to show you around (particularly in Delhi).
I also have a few cool dance moves that would turn heads at a party =)
