I am a registered nurse who retired from New York city public hospital system after 30 years. I worked emergency then an HIV clinic. Went back to grad school in the 00s then served as a health volunteer in Russia, Ethiopia and Swaziland most recently. Was in the Peace Corps in Korea in the 70s.

My modis vivendi has always been to experience a place by living there not just going to tourist sites. Couch surfing is a good match for me
