Usual hippy, fairly lazy, like music, arts, etc. creative things and people. I can't claim to be too spiritual in any conventional sense, but there's plenty of things that move me. Not had the opportunity to do much travelling outside the UK, but starting to do more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Heard about Couch Surfing from my youngest son who used it last year on a bike ride across the USA. Thought I would like to help repay some of the hospitality karma he received.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been crashing on the floors of friends, friends of friends, random strangers, etc. for all my adult life. Apart from catching fleas once, it's always been positive.

Interests

I'm a keen cyclist and motorcyclist, like being outdoors and enjoy the natural world. Listen to a lot of music/Radio4. Enjoy cooking, drinking and meeting interesting people.

The Big Lebowski, I like mostly old films in black and white.
Spin it Dude! I'll give most music a listen.
Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers comics and Private Eye magazine are about it on the literary front I'm afraid.

I've usually got plenty of free time and a gregarious nature so I'm happy to hang out with people I don't know. I've a pretty good knowledge of the north east of England, so I'd be happy to recommend places to visit or things to do.
