Overview
About Me
I'm an easy going person who loves to meet people from around the world. I'm from the UK, but have lived in Beijing and Paris. Living in different countries makes you learn a lot more about the culture and I believe it changes you, providing you pick up the good habits from other cultures.
My wife Michelle is from China, and we've been married since 2012. We both love travelling and our favourite travel experiences are almost always meeting others and finding out about their lives.
We are travelling the world together, and so couchsurfing will help us meet as many people from different cultures, and help make our experience more enriching.
Having already travelled a bit ourselves, we hope to share some insightful conversations, and hope to ensure that our hosts learn as much as we do about our origins, cultures, and ideas.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the idea of sharing your spare bed or room with others in a network, in return of the chance to do likewise. I love the idea of being able to meet people from all over the world. For us, travel is not just about enjoying the weather or the sights, but a discovery of all things about a place. And doing this in a hotel with other tourists, you wont get to expereince the same level of contact with people who really understand that place. For us couchsurfing is an amazing opportunity to learn so much more, for so much less.
Interests
I love travelling (obviously), watching films, sports such as cycling, and comedy.
I've done a bit of stand up comedy, and I always do my best to make people laugh, and have a good sense of humour about most things.
I've learnt improvisation comedy, and if you're interested to try, I will be more than happy to share what I've learnt - it's so much fun!
My wife Michelle loves travelling as well (believe it or not!), and loves films even more than I do. She always has an opinion, and is happy to discuss and chat about any film.
She is a keen photographer, and is keen on developing her skills.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've cycled the length of Scotland and England.
On this trip we have done many amazing things, including:
Witness a total solar eclipse in Sumatra
Attending a Persian wedding reception
...If we get a chance to meet, we have plenty of travellers tales to tell!
Teach, Learn, Share
I have learnt some improvisational comedy, where there is no script, and virtually no rules! I'd love to share this knowledge, as it is so much fun!
I know some memory techniques, and would be happy to show anyone how to make the most of your memory.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can (and will!) share my stories, plenty of jokes and laughter.
I think Improvisational comedy is great, so if anyone is eager to learn, i'd be more than happy to show you how to do it. I'll have as much fun showing you as you would having a go!
