Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's weird that I was rejected for stating the obvious reason why people use this site: hotels and hostels are expensive, and don't provide the direct experience of the culture of a place like staying with a local can. That's why I'm here: I'm an undergrad that's barely traveled outside US borders, and hopes to change that within the few coming years. I'm not gonna give a ridiculous spiel involving flowery language and resume-esque bullcrap, I'm open and honest. I'm here to travel cheap, experience culture directly, and make a bunch of friends
