About Me

My name is Neil and my life goal is to teach ravens to fly underwater.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to meet new and exciting people who'd like to stay with me whilst they explore Liverpool, my home city.

Even though I've lived here for six years now, I still love exploring Liverpool and the surrounding areas, including finding new restaurants, bars and cool places to go and see off the usual tourist trail.

Interests

I've been playing trumpet now for 18 years and during that time I've played gigs all over the country for a variety of bands, groups and orchestras.

I also enjoy running, climbing and once in a blue moon I drag myself to the gym.

I'm passionate about architecture. Whilst I quite enjoy a quiet afternoon in one of the many museums and galleries around the city, I'm also no slouch when it comes to making the most of the amazing nightlife Liverpool has to offer.

Also I am the greatest (bad) dancer to ever have lived.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of different artists, including Men Without Hats, N.W.A., The Stone Roses, Miles Davis, R.E.M., YoYo Ma, James Blunt and Cannibal Corpse.

Similarly, I think I have quite a varied taste when it comes to cinema, with films such as Michael Clayton, Inception, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Being There probably making it into my top 10.

I tend to be quite a slow reader, I'm currently plodding my way through Lucky Jim, by Kingsley Amis.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Alphabetised my CD collection. Seriously though, I'm fairly modest.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a pretty confident cook, so I can keep you well fed whilst you're here. I also love local history and know lots about the architecture and history of Liverpool.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm currently looking to host myself, but I may go travelling in the near future.

Countries I’ve Visited
