About Me
CURRENT MISSION
In the process of moving to and finding work in Vermont.
ABOUT ME
I love houseplants, cooking, reading, skiing, fishing, hunting, camping and cold snowy weather in small mountain towns...all the main reasons I'm moving to Vermont.
Cancer/Leo cusp, Pisces rising, moon in Gemini - not that I take astrology seriously, but I do find it immensely interesting.
INFJ personality type on the Myers-Briggs.
Studied culture and anthropology as an undergrad, clinical psychotherapy at the graduate level. Basically I love talking to and meeting people from all walks of life and have found a way to do it professionally. It's a career of love.
PHILOSOPHY
Quality over quantity, in all things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to this website. I travel frequently and would be interested in being hosted; also I am more than willing to host others once I settle into a more stable living situation - currently I'm in that awkward place between graduating and figuring out what comes next.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None yet through this website!
Interests
Good conversation, good books, good beer, good bourbon.
Outdoor winter activities - I really want to learn how to ice-fish.
Culture, religion and gender studies, and the intersectionalities always occurring within.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been to about 45 out of the 50 states, with the exception of the dead-center of the country and Alaska.
Spent 2 months living with the Masai tribe in Tanzania.
Had wild sea turtles swim next to me while sea kayaking in Hawaii.
Lived in Germany for 3 years and had the fortune of visiting almost all of the Western European countries - all by the age of 14.
Worked in post-Katrina Mississippi for a summer with a contractor helping to repair homes damaged by the hurricane.
Teach, Learn, Share
I thoroughly enjoy studying the more arcane, ritualistic, esoteric and occult-ish schools of thought and human experience - much of it gained from personal experience and participatory involvement, much from talking with others living in various planes of reality.
I inherited a natural greenthumb from my mother and grandmother and consequently know my way around a houseplant or two.
I pretty much just enjoy being in the company of people different than myself, those who have anything at all to offer regarding the nature of life and love, death and human suffering, and the countless different ways to perceive it all.
