Moin! My name is Nele, I am german and just turned 25. I grew up close to Frankfurt, then traveled for 2 years when I was 21, then finished school and now I study in the beautiful city of Bremen. I try to enjoy live, while being aware of all the stuff that is going wrong still. So, beside trying to do the "right thing", I love to hang out with friends, which are very easy to find here, since everyone is so nice and open in Bremen. I love cooking, singing, dancing, playing music, talking, laughing, travelling and meeting new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travelled a lot myself and i know how it feels to be desperate for a place to stay and i was very lucky quite a few times to have openminded, helpful people around to give me a home for a few nights. I belive that this is the right thing to do and it's an amazing possibility to get in touch with people you propably wouldnt meet otherwise. Come as you are and stay for a few nights! :)

Interests

As above... It's a rollercoaster of trying to find inner peace and completely loosing it, just because I can :) So, while i enjoy being melancholic by myself or with very close friends, discussing about serious stuff, then doing yoga and meditation or just read or listen to the sound of silence to calm down, I also love to freak out and laugh as loud and hard as i can, to talk to everyone i meet, to have crazy jam sessions with all the instruments we can find, join massive cooking and eating orgies or dance and sing till the sun comes up. I guess i study somewhere inbetween... :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I dont like to put music in genre-boxes and therefore i admire musicians that try to melt the borders between them. I love people still being able to play intruments or sing from the bottom of their hearts. i love FUNK! Jazz, Raegge, melodic house, Rap, Soul... It really doesnt matter - just give me trompets, saxophones, keys, tamborines, drums and bass ;) movies and books - i guess, i like stories that carry you away.stuff that grabs you and wont let you go for a while. i also really like arthouse and documentaries - work, that makes you wonder, cry and think.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I dived with whale sharks! That was pretty damn breathtaking... ask me about it and i tell you what secrects these wise, old guys told me there under water ;)
