About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Proving I'm alive
ABOUT ME
I'm very different from the rest of my family members. They'd consider me the rebel in the family because I love exploring different cultures, travelling and going on adventures by myself.
History, culture, languages, differences, ... intrigue me and pique my interest.
I have a very open view to the world and I'm open to a lot of different ideas and point of views. I try to always put myself in someone else's shoes.
I'm rather optimistic in comparison to my family. I believe strongly in hard-work and that anything is possible if you are willing to work hard enough for it.
Life is not about being lucky or not. It is about the way you perceive the world. There are more bad things than good things in the world but at the end of the day the good always wins over the bad for me.
PHILOSOPHY
"Hope is a beautiful thing. It gives us the strength to fight when there is nothing to win and everything to lose."
"Go with the flow
Do not live like you're told
Do as your heart tells you to
No matter what people think
No matter how often they say:"It's not okay."
Don't pity yourself
Pity the people that look down on you
Pity them for not realizing the way you feel
Look them in the eye and you'll know
Live with no regrets because that's the only way"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I had my first CS experience in Chicago. It's only 3 hours away from where I was doing an internship so it was crazy not to go.
I do feel a little overwhelmed so I'd love to CS to meet extraordinary people to show me their "hometown".

Interests
I have a lot of different interests. The most important ones are my hobby's. I love art. I don't just appreciate looking at art but I also do some of my own art. For me it is a way to express myself and to relax. Therefore, I paint, read, write and draw.
Like I said before, I love different cultures. The differences really intrigue me and I think that I can learn so much from knowing more about another country and maybe just as important, being aware of my own culture.
I love the English language and feel like I can always improve and learn more about it.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: This is terribly cliché but I love romcom's. I'm also a big fan of marvel movies and more boyish movies.
Music: I seriously listen to all kinds of music. I won't say all but I'm not too picky when it comes to mucis.
Books: I love reading so there are too many to name. Over the years I've read a variety of genres. The only genre I'm not into is romantic novels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I still remember the first time I came to America and walking into a store. The first thing that went through my head was, "Wow, these items are SO big!" I actually said, "Only in America!" because I was so surprised and in awe. That was such an amazing moment because the sizes were so much bigger than what I was used to. Now, I don't even notice how the items are here.
I have had the great opportunity to do my internship abroad. This has been the most amazing experience in my life. I've learned so much on both a professional as well as a personal level. The thing I was in awe by was the community I worked and lived in for 4 months. It's incredible how in that community people were so eager to help out. A person can just call someone up and they'll be there to help. I didn't know people could be this amazing.
