About Me

AUGUST 2022 - Interrail with my boyfriend Tobias 🚂

Hi! I’m Nele (25yo) former and Future Traveller with a great knowledge in some languages! I am currently studying urban planning in Kassel and am especially interested in Urban Design and bottom-up urban developments. So if you know about such things as a skate-park, abandoned industrial areas that have been developed in some way or if it‘s just a parklett in your street, I‘d be very kean to see it!

Tobi (28yo) also studies Urban Planning. He will start his Master-thesis this Winter and is now enjoing his last Holiday before the hussle begins. Some of his last visited Countrys are Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark and ireland. In his freetime he plays Football and likes to cook. His „Spätzle“ are very tasty.

Pls don‘t feel uncomfortable we‘re a couple. All of our friends agree that we‘re not that kind of couply, touchy only-focused-on-us couple. So don‘t be afraid we happily sharing our time with you (and your friends/family) and not only with us.
Btw we are both fully vaccinated (three times) and had Covid in April.

When it‘s possible to combine Work, University and other stuff I‘d really like to host people as well. Unfortunately there haven‘t been so many opportunities due to my time which (I don‘t know why cause I‘m a student) is limited.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

August 2022 - EUROPE
It‘s interrail time!
31.07-03.08 Paris
03.08-05.08 Bordeaux
05.08-08.08 San Sebastiàn
08.-08 ??? (Hopefully Bilbao)

May 2017 - SCANDINAVIA
I quite spontaniously decided to travel through my favorite (so far) countries. Denmark-Norway-Sweden by car. I had the ambition to reach the top of Norway, my hostfamily, by the day before national day (17. mai) and I made it!! The tour back I made through Sweden where I had very culinary stops!

Oct 2016 - Apr 2017 NEW ZEALAND
The classic „after-high-school-diploma-trip“. I spent almost 7 months in New Zealand as working holiday and worked on a Kiwi (the fruit) farm and at a car rental company. Then… I lost my driver‘s license - I will happily tell you the story when we meet lol

Summer 2015 - GERMANY
The summer I turned 18 - yep, crazy times - I decided to travel my own country cause I didn‘t travel around much in Germany so far. This is also where I made my first Couchsurfing- experiences! Alone and with a friend. The stays were very enriching and I met very interesting people and got the first sense of how student life would be.

Whilst the next years, summers I'm hopefully going to travel a lot, around Europe, the World to meet friends and also "strangers" who could offer me a place to sleep.
That's why i want to offer like-minded people the same thing!

Music, Movies, and Books

In love with all kinds of music- from 60s to today.
There's no doubt that the FRENCH version of "LOL" is the best movie ever! Moreover, "The Adjustment Bureau" is a must to see!

I‘ve had some app tell me I should watch an Art House film with a friend. We did. I‘ll leave it there

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spend an exchangeyear in Norway 2013/2014 with the best hostfamily ever!

I‘ve had amazing Couchsurfing experiences in my life so far -

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you some German, typical german recipes and general things about Norway/Scandinavia :) Eager to tell you about my festival experiences and times abroad.

I'd be thankful if you could teach me no matter what in your language and everything you'd like to share with me!

Adding to a spare couch, I'd share my freetime, lifestyle and ofc also my Wifi-Password with you( i know how important that can be)
