ABOUT ME

I'm Nella. Usually in constant movement and learn from other cultures. I love spending time with new people and I'm quite adaptable to new places. I enjoy simple things in life. All the best things are shareable and mostly free.

I come from Oulu, which is in northern Finland where there is snow, under - 25 C degrees and very little sunlight every winter and during the summers the sun stays up almost the whole 24 hours. However the last years I have been living and creating projects in south of Finland and many other countries.

I work mostly as a dancer/performing artist combining dance, puppetry and theatre methods and trainer in different places and tend to travel quite a lot with my work. I'm interested in working with children and developing creative teaching methods. Beside Finland I've been working with children in orphanages and schools for example in Vietnam, India and Swaziland.

PHILOSOPHY

The ship is safe in the harbour but that's not why the ship was built.

Logic is the death of life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been traveling quite a lot around Europa, Asia and Africa and always met interesting people and spent time with them. Haven't really used Couch Surf before though many of the people I have met have been on Couch Surf.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

- Directed some happenings/ invisible theatre to Maputo's streets in Mozambique. This was an amazing experience as the people on the streets really got involved into the performances and showed their emotions.

-Swimming with a whale shark in the sea.

- Eaten many interesting things when traveling for example vietnamese egg containing undeveloped quail fetus. Nowadays I eat only vegetarian food : D

- Performing Stand Up comedy for over 500 people.

... many stories still left. I love hearing people's stories and I want to save something with YOU when we'll meet.
