Hi!
My name is Nella, I am Italian American from Massachusetts and now I live in Firenze, Italia. I moved away from home to study and decided to remain in Europe as I have always loved Italy and wanted to have an experience of living here for at least a few years. I am so happy with the decision I made and am happier because of it! I love traveling, making new friends and learning new things. I like to think that I am friendly, outgoing, passionate, positive and energetic. I find beauty even in the small things and feel lucky to be living my life in Europe.

Traveling is a passion of mine, I yearn to learn more about the world and while I can marvel at the wonder of the Colleseum or gaze in awe at the Duomo here in Florence, I really appreciate the experiences of eating new foods and having interesting conversations with new friends. It is that aspect of travel that captivates me, so many miss out on it when they follow a tour guide around the city and frequent the busy tourist traps in each new place.

I have yet to host my own couch surfing guests or surf in another place but for me it feels like the next natural step. My roommate has hosted and each time i have befriended the guests and really enjoyed spending time when i was able to. These random experiences have been some of my best memories. While i am a bit apprehensive to begin, I know that once i do, i will open a new world of possibilities and wonderful experiences.

I have a broad range of music interests. I love Lana del Rey and London Grammar, but you can catch me vibing out to tech house beat masters such as Adam Beyer the Drumcode god himself, or Joseph Capriati. The classics have a place in my heart as well such as The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. I also really enjoy alternative rock from the 90s, early 2000s such as Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Incubus, Blink 182 and Weezer.

I love to read, I like non fictional diaries such as Go Ask Alice, dramas about dystopian societies like The Hunger Games, crime biographies such as Helter Skelter, Jack Kerouac's On the Road, The Alchemist, really anything. I also come from the generation when Harry Potter was introduced into our world so I will enjoy that at any age. Reading philosophy from Nietzsche or poetry from e.e Cummings both give me pleasure.

As for movies I am fairly open to anything but I absolutely hate slasher films or gore and horror films it's just not for me. I prefer drama, comedy, romance, or a excellent psychological thriller. Some of my favorite films are Blow, Across the Universe, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and What Dreams May Come.

also I remained speechless when I arrived at the Acropolis in Greece, I was always reading mythology as a child and to be there in person really struck a chord in my heart.
