Hi! Im Nellie, 19years old and from Stuttgart, Germany.

I will spend the next 6months in Vancouver, Canada on exchange.
However, normally I live in Wageningen, the Netherlands where I study 'Sustainable Tourism'.

I am an open-minded, easy going person and very interested in everything the world has to offer, While I am truely passionate about nature and all the activities related to it (Hiking, camping etc.), I also love the vibe and atmosphere in the big cities. As I study 'Sustainable Tourism', it is particularly important to me to learn about the people, the culture and the environment which is by far my favorite part of travelling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a great way to meet people and experience a whole lot more about the place visited. Even though, I am very new to this thing, I cant wait to host people once I am back in the Netherlands to share my the dutch &german culture and meet people :)

Interests

I love outdoor activites whether it is snowboarding, cycling, hiking, wakeboarding, skateboarding. Another major interest of mine is sustainability in particular within tourism.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Myanmar to help strengthen the role of local communities in the tourism industry. I guess it could be descrived as development aid.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have lived in three countries so far (Germany, United States and the Netherlands), so I can share a lot about these different cultures.

Also my mom works at a german chocolate factory, so If you are interested in that, I cant tell you a whole lot about it or even bring some ;)
