In my experiences ramblin', I've received nothing but open arms and incredible hospitality from a lovely group on strangers-turned-friends. These experiences have been the most eye-opening and meaningful I've ever had, and I'd like to cultivate a little more of that in this world.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: I like strings and horns. Folk and bluegrass have been on my mind more often than not recently. Haven't met too much music I don't like however, especially of the live variety.

MOVIES: I'm that person who hasn't seen any of your favorite movies. Sorry. I love a good kids movie, and a good fantasy flick - Lord of the Rings trilogy being the top of that chart.

BOOKS: Ugh, where to even begin? Give me a good dystopian - 1984, Hunger Games, Fahrenheit 451, Brave New World, or something mystical - Game of Thrones, Merlin, or any solid travel read. Female protagonists are a big plus. I went through a 6 month phase where I only read books set in the Middle East. Currently reading: Shadow of the Silk Road by Colin Thubron. Talk books to me (better yet, bring a book over to our library for trade!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived off the grid on a farm in Alaska for 5 months.. with views of Denali from my tent!!

Teach, Learn, Share

Jack of many, master of none? I'm constantly trying to challenge myself to learn new things, and I especially love working with my hands. I don't have any one specialty though - outside the garden. I like to knit, carve spoons, weave, sew, metalsmith, and more.

Outdoor experiences are one thing I have to share. The Rocky Mountains are my backyard and I couldn't be more stoked to share them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've got a few great recipes under my belt, and I love cooking for a big group. I'll whip up a good strong cocktail too, but I'd really prefer to try the local beer :)
