Graduate from University next year and do more traveling.

ABOUT ME

Currently a full time student in Music Technology. Also working in bars and restaurants and organising live music events. Either traveling myself or hosting travelers when I have the time.

I love hanging out with the locals and checking out the local music scene wherever I go. Exploring new cities absolutely amazes me and every time I go somewhere new, I want to live there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Surfed all around Europe while I was living in London for 2 years and had an amazing time! Met so many wonderful people. Have just returned from a brief trip to North America and met some new friends while couch surfing there. Looking forward to much more in future.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: My taste is very broad. I was raised listening to Folk Music until I discovered Led Zeppelin in my early teens. Went through an 80s/90s Hip Hop fad then moved onto Punk & Grunge. I do appreciate some Metal and limited Electronic stuff but am mainly into Rock, Blues, Country, Gypsy & "World Music" in recent years. Current Favorites: The Clash, The Mescaleros, The Slits, Gogol Bordello, The Rolling Stones, Joy Division, The Velvet Underground, Holly Golightly, Bright Eyes (and everything Conor Oberst has ever done), Beck, Mariachi el Bronx, Modest Mouse, Andrew Bird, The Kills, The Dead Weather, The White Stripes, Eagles of Death Metal, The Beastie Boys...

MOVIES: I like anything that holds my interest really. I love ridiculous B grade 80s horror movies. Good Comedy is good but I can not stand cheesy chick flicks, Hollywood teen movies & unoriginal romantic comedies (spew). I like Documentaries, Science Fiction, Fantasy and Thrillers. Favorite Movies: Dusk Till Dawn, Clerks, Star Wars

BOOKS: Don't read much unfortunately other than University text books at the moment, mainly on sound recording. I love Anne Rice & John Grisham so Thrillers & Fantasy I guess would be my main areas of interest.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most life changing experience was living overseas for 2 years, cant wait to do it again. Becoming a university student at the age of 30 was also pretty amazing (or challenging) if you ask me.

If you are a musician, I can record you while you're here :) And I love a good home concert. If you want to see some local bands, I can take you out too!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Some fun nights out with lots of poorly told stories :P I am very clean, considerate and appreciative. I am happy to hang out with hosts and/or venture out on my own.
