About Me

I believe in authenticity, in people being genuine, in being able to politely coexist even with others different from you. I enjoy live music, mountains, red wine, beer, outdoors and adventures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I love that it is a community of like-minded travellers happy to help each other.
I've participated with the CS community in my hometown as organizer of some events. I've hosted, been hosted, attended, organized and hosted meetings; and given advice through CS. I LOVE the idea of not only travel, but to have a cultural interchange with locals :)

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: Rock and whatever derives from it, something like bluesy/psychedelic/alternative :)
According to my Spotify account, I listened to 81 different music GENRES last year..... you could tell my favourite artists' list is quite long.

BOOKS: 'The Gift of Fear' (Gavin De Becker), 'Crear o Morir' (Andrés Oppenheimer), 'Acceptable Risk' (Robin Cook), 'The Girl on the Train' (Paula Hawkins), 'Better Than Before' (Gretchen Rubin).

MOVIES: 'Birdman', 'Inception', 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty', action or Sci-Fi in general.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

(I feel so blessed!)
- The Northern Lights!! (Aurora Borealis) The best aurora of the 2016 season in Rejkavik, Iceland👍🏼
- I flew a piper :) Took off, flew over lake Wanaka and landed smoothly. ✈️
- Hiking through ice caves inside a glacier in Iceland. AMAZING! ❄️
- Riding (twice) the famously dangerous Tail of the Dragon in my Ninja 🐲.
- A Motorbike road trip from Monterrey, México to Niagara Falls, Canada... and back... in november... damn it was cold! 🚲
- Crawl in a really really really narrow, totally dark and muddy cave 50 meters below the ground in Mexico.
- Snorkel with whale-sharks in the Caribbean.
- Swim with sea lion pups in the Argentinean Patagonia.
- Swim with reef sharks in Fiji.
- Come across bears in the wild while showing the mexican mountains to a NatGeo explorer.
- Listen to live Jazz in New Orleans.
- Kayak in the Baltic Sea.
- Sunbath under the 'Midnight Sun' in the canadian Northern Territories.
- Live a few weeks in Havana with a cuban family (and then helped my friend to get political asylum in the US).
- Travel Europe by train.
- Roll downhill inside a Zorb ball in New Zealand.
- Get lost at midnight in the most dangerous hood in Argentina (called 'The Slaughterhouse').
- Travel all around New Zealand's South Island as a backpacker living the van life (in a station wagon).
- New Year's Eve in Las Vegas.
- Step on top of "The world's only surreal castle", a weird construction by Sir Edward James in the middle of a beautiful mexican jungle.
- Camping in Yosemite.
- Come across a sloth where the jungle meets the beach, in Costa Rica.

Teach, Learn, Share

I LOVE TO LEARN... all the time. I can teach you what I know, but also would love to learn more. I love learning phrases in different languages :)

I've always wanted to learn how to play an instrument ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I live in a bachelor, so we would share the space, but I have a spare adjustable bed (hospital-like), a sofa bed, and a huge bean bag that has served as a bed.
I work full-time, so probably won't be able to hang out, but I live in a convenient location, just a 15-min bus ride to the Parliament.

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Argentina, Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Fiji, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United States, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, Mexico, New Zealand
